Beard Hair

I started growing my beard out with this new shorter haircut, maybe to compensate I don't know. I guess I'm doing the Jason Statham thing for now, it sort of works on me. My beard has always been pretty much like steel wool very bristly and all my hair is very dark but now it's a bit softer and it grows slower and I notice a lot more less pigmented copper colored hairs in there. I even pulled one out of my sideburn with no pigment at all.. not grey, but transparent. Weird.

It's not a side effect that I care about, I haven't had any that ever raised any concern but maybe worth noting none the less. I just hope it means the Finasteride is working.

Well beard hair growth is definitely androgen-dependent.  I personally never saw any side-effects like diminished beard hair when I was on fin or dut, but it may be possible to see sides like that.   Just out of curiousity Astro, do you work out at all?  I'll tell you why I asked after you answer the question.

I think I read somewhere that people wanting to grow more beard wanted to increase their DHT, so I assume possibly the opposite is happening?

Some people would say I work out a lot. My type of workout is a lot of conditioning and not very heavy weights so I'm not huge but very lean. Though recently my winter schedule has been bad for being active. I would say presently I excercise out an average amount. Visually my body doesn't change much but I know my cardio and conditioning has suffered a lot. This summer my schedule should be much better to get back into top form.

I get those weird transparent hairs too man. I also have the reddish "copper" colored hairs as well.

When I dropped Dut and switched to fin I noticed that my beard hair grew way faster. I have heard other people notice this as well.

Dude, if you can find a look you feel comfortable with and just keep your hair short and neat, freaking go for it man. Go for it and move the hell on.
